• Joint eco-council meeting

  Today, representatives from our eco-council met with representatives from the other Garforth schools' eco-councils to present ideas for projects we could work on together. All the ideas were fantastic and there were some great presentations. We were proud that our idea - for a 'Zero Energy Day' across all Garforth schools - was selected! The children presented their idea confidently and clearly, and worked so hard on it during their playtimes and lunchtimes over the past week.

  

• February Holiday Club

  Our first ever holiday club ran during the February half-term, 2022. Thank you so much to Miss Richards for making everything run so smoothly and for making sure all the children had a wonderful time! See the newsletter for more information about the amazing activities the children enjoyed and the fun they had!

  The holiday club will run again for a week at Easter, and during the summer too. Please contact the school office if you are interested in booking a place. Places can be booked for individual days, or for the full week.

   

• Alfresco Outdoor Learning

  Our Key Stage 1 children had a wonderful time with Alfresco Outdoor learning before half-term. The children used natural materials to think about the Great Fire of London. How were houses built during the 1660s, and what alternative materials might have been better to prevent the fire? It was great to see the children's teamwork and problem solving, and to hear Hollie and Jenny from Alfresco comment on how great our children were at approaching the tasks creatively and collaboratively.
