On Friday afternoon and night, we had an absolutely wonderful time at the Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena! It was a long day for the children, with a three hour rehearsal in the afternoon, a tea-break (mostly spent squinting across the arena to try to spot parents/grandparents!) and then a two hour concert.
It was an incredible experience to be part of - a choir of over 4000 children coming together to sing songs and perform dances they had spent the previous term learning, along with a professional band and singers, a conductor and dancers, and special guests Ruti, The Shires and Tony Hadley.
Our children were fantastic, singing and dancing right through to the concert's end after 9pm. If anything, their energy levels increased as the evening wore on! As ever, we were very proud of their behaviour and attitude and the way they represented our school.
Many of those in Year 4 and 5 (not to mention the staff!) are already looking forward to next year.
