Welcome to the Governors' area of the website. We hope you find the information in this area useful and informative.
The purpose of the Governing Body is to ensure that every child in the school gets the very best education.
Membership of the Governing Body is varied and includes parents/carers, staff and members from the local community.
Governors who have been appointed by trustees of the SET trust board have different skills which is important and necessary to enable the Governing Board to effectively support the school, allowing it to develop and progress whilst ensuring legal and statutory requirements are met.
The Local Governing Board, through financial scrutiny, staff recruitment and performance management, health and safety, buildings and maintenance, participation in monitoring activities of Learning and Teaching alongside school leaders, and safeguarding, is able to offer rigorous and stringent strategic overview of all processes and procedures.
Most importantly, at the heart of Strawberry Fields Primary School are our children. The school's vision 'working together, building the future' is the responsibility of the whole school community, parents, staff, children and governors. 'Working together' with one purpose implies all of us working together to support our children and the school that we are justifiably proud of.
We are always looking at ways to improve the way we work to support the school community and we hope that this website will help with that.
We would like to hear from you about anything that we could do better.
Please do not hesitate to contact us via the school office if we can be of further help to you.
Mrs Kelsey Thackray and Dr Jo Williams
Co-Chairs of the Local Governing Board
