We had a great time in school on World Book Day. There was such an interesting variety of costumes on display, many of which were very creative! More importantly it gave us a chance to celebrate books and reading, which included children writing book reviews of much loved books, a 'book swap', in which children were able to bring books from home to swap with their peers, and classes teaming up to get older and younger children reading together. We also had some potatoes decorated as book characters, which were fantastic!
Next week, we will be having our 'Bedtime Stories' event, which will be another opportunity to share a love of reading with the children.
