On Monday we took a team of boys and a team of girls to Garforth Academy to play against other local schools in a rounders competition. In total, four schools took part.
In the boys' tournament, we lost the opening game against an incredibly well organised East Garforth team. Following that, we won our remaining two games, scoring bonus points in each because of the number of rounders we scored. In the end, the boys' team finished second.
The girls won their middle game, and also managed to pick up a bonus rounder. They finished tied for third place with St. Benedict's.
After their performances against our teams, it was not a surprise that East Garforth ended up winning both tournaments! Congratulations to them!
