There has been lots going on so far in March 2023. The month began with Y5/6 having their Inspire events. These events were brilliant and it was great to have so many parents, carers and grandparents in school. A small selection of the lovely feedback quotes we received can be read here.
We loved celebrating World Book Day, with children and staff attending school in their pyjamas for a 'Bedtime Stories' theme. There was so much to enjoy, but a big highlight was our older children visiting Foundation Stage and Key Stage One and sharing a story with our younger children.
We also sent a Key Stage One football team to Garforth Academy. They took part in a competition against other schools. In four matches, they won twice and drew once, losing only one game. More importantly, their behaviour was excellent and they represented the school brilliantly.
Our eco-council have been busy, planting potatoes, carrots and herbs which we hope to harvest and eat in the summer. We also went out to Barley Hill Park for a litter pick.
