Football - Y6 boys vs. Tranmere Park
Tonight, our Y6 boys' football team was involved in a very exciting cup game against Tranmere Park. The match was fairly evenly matched in the first half, but Tranmere Park took their chances better and led 2-0 at the break. We came back early in the second half with a goal from Oliver, before Tranmere Park restored their two-goal cushion midway through the half. With five minutes remaining, we were trailing 3-1, but late goals from Oliver and Riley levelled the scores, and the game went to extra time. Unfortunately (for us!), with only a minute or two remaining, Tranmere Park were awarded a penalty for handball, which crept inside the post despite Taylor diving and getting a hand to the ball. The game finished 4-3 to Tranmere Park. Well done to everyone from both schools - both teams gave great accounts of themselves.
