Our Y4 and Y6 boys’ football teams have been in action over the past couple of weeks. The Year 4s travelled to Woodlesford for a cup game. We lost 6-1, with our goal being scored by Rudy C. However, compared to last year’s 12-0 drubbing against the same opponents, it was clear that progress had been made! The team were well organised and competed well, especially in the first half. Our Year 6s played against Adel Primary School. We took the lead early, with a goal by Josh W, but by half-time were losing 2-1. The game remained close and both teams had chances, but two goals in two minutes in the second half resulted in us losing 4-1. Despite losing their respective matches, both teams played with commitment and pride. They were a credit to our school in their play on the field and in their behaviour and attitude off it. Well done to all the boys (plus Emmie S!) who played.
