15 boys and girls from years 3 and 4 visited the academy after school today to take part in a football tournament against other local schools. The tournament was organised into two groups of five teams, with the winning team in each group going into a final. Our 'blue' team finished second in their group, with 3 wins (1-0, 1-0, 2-0) and 1 defeat (against eventual group winners St. Benedict's). Our 'green' team came fourth in their group, winning one of their games 1-0.
Thank you to all the players who did their best in sun and who, as ever, represented our school in a way that made us proud of them. Well done East Garforth who were the eventual winners of the tournament.
