On Wednesday and Thursday this week, we were really excited to welcome Debra Kidd and Hywel Roberts into our school to work with our children. Since attending a training event with Debra and Hywel in September, the staff have been looking forward to getting these two expert story-tellers into our school to get our children even more invested in their learning, and to work with us to think about ways we can use stories to deliver the curriculum and deepen the children's understanding.
Between them, Debra and Hywel worked with all our children from F2 to Y6 to enhance their topic learning. The joy and laughter that both children and staff experienced, and the play and the conversations that took place before and after these sessions, show how fantastic these sessions were. Those classes who have produced follow-up work have really seen the benefit, and we will be working story-telling into our curriculum delivery more and more in the coming weeks and months.
