Careers Fair and MP visit
Today we held our careers fair. We were lucky to be visited by a range of people with different jobs, including police officers, a local cafe owner, a physiotherapist, a speech therapist, representatives from Unilever and Tesco, an actor, a project manager in construction and pharmacist.
All the children from Years 1 - 6 visited the hall to chat to our visitors. They had lots of interesting questions and found out lots about some different careers. They were curious and respectful and our visitors had a great time. We are very grateful to them for giving up their time to visit us.
In the afternoon, we were visited by our local MP Alec Shelbrooke. He was given a tour of the school by our school council leaders, and then met a selection of children from right across school who had prepared some questions. It was brilliant for the children to be able to meet their local representative and learn a little about how government works in our country. Again, we were grateful to Mr Shelbrooke for taking the time to visit our school.
